Assistant Professor - Department of Finance/Real Estate
The Department of Finance in the Wilbur O. And Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University invites applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Real Estate.
We invite applicants who value collegiality and the desire to contribute to the Clemson community of real estate and finance scholars.
Primary duties will include teaching real estate at the undergraduate level, engaging in a research program that results in articles in high-quality scholarly publications, and participate in service activities. The candidate will teach four semester courses per year and participate in service activities.
Clemson University is a R1 Carnegie designated, land-grant competitive admissions institution with total enrollment approaching 25,000 students. The Finance program currently has over a thousand finance majors, 13 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, three clinical faculty members, and six full-time lecturers.
Tenure-track members of the Finance Faculty have recently published in finance and real estate journals, including JF, JFE, JAE, JFQA, MS, JUE, JREFE, and JRER. We were recently ranked by US News as #36 in finance programs.

Clemson is a small college town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, located on the I-85 corridor between Atlanta and Charlotte and is 30 miles outside of Greenville, SC. Greenville is often listed as being one of the best places to live in the country.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess a PhD in Real Estate, Finance, or related field from an AACSB accredited university. Successful candidates are expected to be active researchers with the potential to publish in top finance and/or real estate journals. Seasoned candidates should have a strong record of publishing in top finance and/or real estate journals.
