Assistant Professor, Entrepreneurship
Position Details
The Management and Entrepreneurship department within the Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor starting August 2026.
The teaching load is twelve (12) credit hours, three (3) courses per semester at the undergraduate and graduate level.
The candidate is expected to engage in scholarly research activity and provide service that involves advising students as well as providing service to the department, college, university and broader community.
Salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. Start-up packages and research space are available for tenure-track positions.
Qualifications
The candidate must have a Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited program, or equivalent, in Entrepreneurship, or a Ph.D. in a closely related business field with published scholarly work in Entrepreneurship. ABDs will be considered. The preferred candidate will also have five years of entrepreneurial experience. The Management and Entrepreneurship Department is a collegial department seeking applicants who have a proven track record in teaching, scholarship, service and student mentoring. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach and mentor both graduate and undergraduate students.

The John P Lowth Entrepreneurship Center has received national awards and accolades, such as the NASDAQ Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence, and it houses the national headquarters of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO). Co-curricular activities offered through the Center include the CREATE business plan competition and boot-camp, the Spartan Accelerator, the UT Entrepreneurs Club, and the Spartan Incubator.
