ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (F/M)
IN THE GROUP OF TEACHING EMPLOYEES
IN THE MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION CENTRE
Applicants must meet the requirements specified in the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, the Statute of Czestochowa University of Technology, and the specific criteria established by the selection committee of the relevant unit.
Eligibility criteria:
- Availability for full-time employment at Czestochowa University of Technology for a period of one year.
- A MA degree in English Studies or Applied Linguistics.
- Proficiency in English at C2 level.
- A PhD in linguistics.
- Experience in teaching at university level.
- Competence in teaching on an e-learning platform.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching English phonetics.
- Ability to conduct classes using computational and corpus linguistics tools.
- Experience in organising student internships.
- Experience in science communication and public engagement.
- Good command of the Polish language - at a level sufficient to teach, or a willingness to learn Polish (applies to foreign nationals).
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting teaching activities.
- Performing organisational duties.
We offer:
- Full-time employment under an employment contract.
- Remuneration in accordance with Annex No. 1 to the Remuneration Regulations for Employees of Czestochowa University of Technology (the regulations are available at: https://pcz.pl/pracownik/sprawy-kadrowe-i-socjalne/dzial-personalny/regulamin-wynagradzania-pracownikow-politechniki-czestochowskiej).
- Seniority allowance depending on years of service, i.e., from 3% to 20% of the basic salary.
- Other remuneration components specified in the Remuneration Regulations for Employees of Czestochowa University of Technology.
- Additional voluntary group insurance.
- Subsidies for holidays for employees and their children (the so-called “holiday allowance”).
- Subsidies for sports and recreational activities as well as cultural and educational activities.

Data Privacy Notice for Candidates for Employment at Czestochowa University of Technology
Pursuant to Article 13(1) and (2) of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (Official Journal of the European Union, L 119 of 4 May 2016 p. 1, as amended) hereinafter referred to as GDPR, we provide the following information regarding the processing of personal data by Czestochowa University of Technology.
1. Personal Data Controller
The controller of personal data is Czestochowa University of Technology, with its registered office at ul. J.H. Dąbrowskiego 69, 42-201 Częstochowa, e-mail: rektor@pcz.pl.
2. Data Protection Officer

3. Purpose and legal basis for processing
Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of conducting the recruitment procedure.
The legal basis for processing personal data is Article 22¹ §1 of the Polish Labour Code and Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (processing is necessary for the performance of a contract by the data subject or for taking steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract), as well as Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR (processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the Controller is subject).
Providing additional data beyond the scope resulting from Article 22¹ of the Labour Code will be treated as consent to the processing of such personal data. Granting consent in this case is voluntary and may be revoked at any time.
If the documents submitted by you contain data referred to in Article 9(1) of the GDPR, your consent to the processing of such data will also be required and may be revoked at any time.
4. Recipients of personal data
Your personal data may only be disclosed to entities authorised to receive them under the provisions of law. Recipients of personal data may also include entities providing services for the Data Controller, in particular including legal or IT services.
5. Data storage period
Data collected in the current recruitment process will be stored until the completion of the recruitment process, and in the case of employment, in accordance with the applicable laws concerning employee documentation and archiving regulations in force at Czestochowa University of Technology.
6. Rights of data subjects
In the cases and under the conditions specified in the GDPR, you have the right to access your data and obtain copies thereof, rectify (amend) your personal data, restrict the processing of personal data, and request the deletion of your data (to the extent not required by law).
If you believe that your personal data are being processed in violation of the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (uodo.gov.pl).
7. Requirement to provide data
Provision of personal data required under Article 22¹ of the Labour Code is necessary in order to participate in the recruitment process. Providing other data is voluntary.
8. Automated decision-making
Your personal data will not be subject to automated processing, including profiling.
