The Department of Environmental Toxicology at Texas Tech (www.depts.ttu.edu/entx/) offers a Master of Science degree in the following tracks: Forensic Chemistry, Forensic Investigation, and Environmental Toxicology, as well as a doctoral degree in Environmental Toxicology. This department currently has 19 full-time tenured, tenure-track and professor of practice faculty and approximately 60 graduate students. In recent years, faculty from this department have been awarded over 5 million dollars in externally sponsored research, of which more than 70% were from federal sources. The department occupies several buildings to support research and teaching, affording significant laboratory and classroom space. Departmental research programs include campus, community, and national/international collaborations.

Position Description:

The Department of Environmental Toxicology in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track, Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2026.

Major/Essential Functions:

In line with TTU’s strategic priorities to engage and empower a dynamic student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with a breadth of student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service.

As a faculty member in the Department of Environmental Toxicology, you will be expected to: 1) contribute to the teaching mission of the department; 2) mentor graduate students; 3) develop a record of peer-reviewed/funded research; 4) provide service to the department, college, and university.
