Lecturers are responsible for course content and scheduling, preparing and presenting multiple lectures per week, writing original exams and executing the logistics of the course in coordination with teaching assistants.
Lecturers have full responsibility for assigning exam and course grades.
It is not normally expected that persons in this classification would be expected to fulfill the other missions of the University.
The percentage of appointment varies from semester to semester, dependent upon the number of courses being taught at one time.
UPlan benefits are offered for postions of 75% time (30 hours per week) or higher.

Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- MS degree in Chemistry or related field
- Experience teaching chemistry courses
PREFERRED:
- PhD degree in Chemistry or related field
- Experience with large lecture courses at the university level

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $66,250 - $97,250; depending on course load, additional duties, experience and education.
Time Appointment Category: 75%-100% Appointment
