"Assistant Professor in Prosthodontics"

Western University is an internationally renowned research-intensive university ranked among the top ten in Canada, offering programs including medical (MD) and dental (DDS) through the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. Applications are invited for one position in Prosthodontics, to begin January 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful candidate will be appointed to a Full-time Limited Term faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor for a period of one to five years, depending on qualifications and experience. An appointment at a higher rank may be considered based on qualifications.

Qualified applicants must have a DDS/DMD degree (or equivalent), training in an advanced specialty program in Prosthodontics granting an MSc, PhD, or equivalent, and must hold or be eligible to hold a Specialty Certificate of Registration with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO).

The successful candidate will participate in teaching and service activities, particularly in the Prosthodontics division, and may be considered for cross-appointment in other departments. Responsibilities include clinical teaching, curriculum design, monitoring student clinical progression, and faculty calibration and development. Candidates should demonstrate aptitude for leadership, teaching, and clinical mentoring, with excellent oral and written communication skills in English and a willingness to work collaboratively.

Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, with an opportunity for private practice via one day per week of consulting privileges. Western University has a full range of academic programs for over 37,000 students and is located in London, Ontario.
