Offer Description
Job description:
- conducting scientific research in the discipline of management and quality science;
- obtaining funding for scientific research;
- publishing research results in peer-reviewed journals and monographs;
- improving one’s research methods and tools;
- taking part in organising scientific conferences and seminars;
- performing teaching duties, in particular delivering management-related courses – also in English;
- preparing course documentation, e.g. syllabi and lesson plans;
- grading students’ assignments and papers, giving them feedback, and archiving these materials;
- entering data into the University’s IT system;
- participating in the thesis-supervision (diploma) proces;
- holding consultations with students;
- enhancing teaching competences through internal and external training courses;
- engaging in the scientific and organisational life of the Faculty of Management and the Department of Management;
- organising and taking part in initiatives run by the University, the Faculty and the Department;
- participating in activities that promote the University, the Faculty and the Department;
- maintaining availability and a full commitment to academic work.
Required documents:
- application for employment addressed to the Rector of Lublin University of Technology (written application for the competition);
- motivation letter;
- curriculum vitae – academic CV listing scientific, teaching and organisational achievements with direct reference to the qualification criteria above (max. 5 A4 pages);
- list of scientific publications;
- copies of diplomas required for the position;
- copies of other documents confirming academic achievements, professional qualifications and additional competencies, including a list of scientific achievements;
- personal questionnaire for the applicant (form attached);
- statement confirming English-language proficiency at the required level (if no language certificate or other proof is available) and a certificate confirming proficiency in Polish at C2 level (for foreign nationals);
- information on scientific and organisational activities and achievements as well as teaching experience,
- candidate's declaration that Lublin University of Technology will be his/her primary place of work (form enclosed),
- consent clause for processing of the candidate's personal data for the purpose of the recruitment process (RODO) (form enclosed),
- information from the National Criminal Register with respect to offences specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of Articles 189a and 207 of the Criminal Code and the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction of 29 July 2005, and in the case of persons having citizenship of a country other than the Republic of Poland, information from the criminal register of another country or statements referred to in Article 21(5) to (7) of the Act on Counteracting the Threat of Sexual Offences and the Protection of Minors of 13 May 2016 (instruction attached),
- a statement by the candidate that he/she has familiarised himself/herself with the Regulations on Reporting Violations of the Law at Lublin University of Technology (regulations and form attached).

Skills/Qualifications
- PhD in social sciences in one of the following disciplines: management and quality science, economics and finance, sociological sciences, or psychology;
- research interests in the field of management and quality science
- scientific publications;
- experience delivering university-level courses in management or related subjects;
- command of Polish (spoken & written) at C2 level (for non-Polish nationals confirmed by an appropriate certificate);
- command of English (spoken & written) at minimum B2 level;
- readiness to work on weekends as well;
- strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- commitment and availability with the Lublin University of Technology as the primary place of employment;
The following will be considered an advantage:
- participation in national or international research grants;
- research achievements in the field of management, organizational behavior, psychology or sociology of work, employee or managerial competencies;
- experience teaching courses in English;
- teaching competences certified by completion certificates or attestations for courses or other training that enhance skills in delivering classes, trainings or workshops;
- professional experience gained outside academia – for example, in business;
- documented organisational activity, including organising scientific or social initiatives at a university, such as scientific seminars or conferences, or meetings with student research groups.

Eligibility criteria
Eligible candidates must meet the conditions specified in Article 113 of the Act “Law on Higher Education and Science” of 20 July 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and in the Statute of Lublin University of Technology.
Selection process
The announcement of the competition results does not result in the establishment of an employment relationship. The decision to hire is made by the Rector. Lublin University of Technology reserves the right to close the competition without a decision and to respond only to selected offers.
