Assistant Professor - Information Systems

The Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, City University of New York, is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Information Systems (IS) in the Paul H. Chook Department of Information Systems and Statistics. The position is open only at the Assistant Professor level and begins in the Fall 2027 semester. Preference will be given to applicants who conduct cybersecurity research and/or can teach cybersecurity courses.
The department's IS division is highly ranked in research productivity in top journals (24th nationwide in 2024 based on publications at MISQ, ISR, JAIS and JMIS over the last three years).
Compensation and Benefits
$147,300-$162,300; salary commensurate with education and experience. Qualifications
Applicants must either have or expect completion of Ph.D. in Information Systems or related fields. They should have a proven record or the potential for high-quality scholarly research leading to publications in premier peer-reviewed journals in Information Systems. They must be able to teach various courses in the department, including, but not limited to, cybersecurity, information assurance, ethical hacking, systems analysis and design, and programming, among others. Applicants should be able to teach in multiple modalities (in-person, online, hybrid) and participate in Zicklin programs offered both on campus and with our global partners. Preference will be given to applicants who conduct cybersecurity research and/or can teach cybersecurity courses.
