"Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Technology ? School of Technology (Tenure-Track)"

The Mechanical Engineering Technology Program in the School of Engineering Technology is seeking a tenure-track faculty member to teach undergraduate courses in mechanical engineering technology, with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Foundry work, Automation, Robotics, Mechanics, Dynamics and Manufacturing.

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility of some weekend days. Primary workplace is the YSU Campus.

Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None

Minimum Qualifications:

An undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering technology or related discipline and an earned master's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field by the time of appointment. Additionally, 4 years industrial experience related to manufacturing, foundry, automation, and simulation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Five or more years of industrial experience. Demonstrated experience in teaching and research.

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field. P.E. License.
