Job Description:
The School of Management at Binghamton University (State University of New York at Binghamton) invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty appointments in Accounting to begin Fall 2026. The positions are open to all areas of Accounting, with one position giving preference to candidates with ability and interest in teaching Accounting Analytics.
Duties include conducting high quality research, as evidenced by publication in the top-tier accounting journals, as well as high quality teaching in the classroom. The teaching component (2 + 2) involves delivering courses in Accounting at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Faculty are expected to participate in curriculum development and assessment, engage in other service duties for the school and the college, and contribute to the intellectual environment of the area.
The salary and benefits package are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. To support faculty research, the school provides summer funding for the first three years of service and subscriptions to WRDS and other standard databases.
The start date for the position is August 17, 2026.

Requirements:
Mandatory Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Accounting or a closely related field, or will have all degree requirements completed by July 1, 2026.
- Ability to establish a successful track record of scholarly research. This can be substantiated by providing copies of applicant's dissertation, publications, and working papers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience as evidenced by favorable teaching evaluations.
- One position will give preference to applicants with the demonstrated ability and interest in teaching Accounting Analytics.
