Assistant Professor of Art Studio: Sculpture & Expanded Practice

The ideal candidate will also contribute to our shared commitment to engaging the
rich and varied cultures and communities of New Mexico, while demonstrating a
local and global contemporary approach to sculptural practice and pedagogy.
Teaching will primarily include undergraduate and graduate studio courses within the
Sculpture & Expanded Practice area. The candidate will also have the opportunity to
develop and teach special topics courses that reflect their area of expertise and
contemporary practice.

The teaching load is two courses per semester (2/2). In addition to teaching, the
faculty member will be expected to maintain an active research and creative
practice, serve on undergraduate and graduate thesis committees, participate in
curriculum development within the Sculpture & Expanded Practice area, and
contribute service to the Department, College, and University.
