Provide academic advising to undergraduate and graduate
students.
Develop a strong, independent research program suitable for
undergraduate and Ph.D. student involvement.
Pursue external funding to support the research program.
Mentor undergraduate researchers on a year-round basis.
Mentor M.S. and Ph.D. students in the Pharmaceutical and
Chemical Sciences Program.
Participate in departmental and university service as expected
of tenure-track faculty.
Seek collaborations across the university's professional
schools, including pharmacy, dentistry, and the planned School of
Medicine.

Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in chemistry or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postdoctoral training; Research interests in organic chemistry,
medicinal chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, or chemical
biology.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse
backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity,
and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices
and knowledge in their work.

This is an in-person role, and the successful candidate must be
willing to relocate within California, preferably within 25 miles
of the Stockton Pacific campus.

standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and
reaching. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment/Work Week/Travel: Work is
performed during standard hours; Additional hours may be required
to meet business needs or deadlines.
Special Instructions:
Appointment begins Fall 2027.
