The Department of Economics, Finance and Legal Studies at the Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics and Real Estate beginning August 16, 2026. Primary duties include teaching economics and real estate courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels, engaging in a research program that results in outstanding scholarly publications, and performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University
Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (1) A doctoral degree in in economics, finance, real estate or a closely related field (in hand or completed by August 16, 2026); (2) a high-quality research agenda, and current working/published papers; (3) demonstrated excellence in teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants are encouraged from a broad range of disciplines (e.g., business, economics, finance, public policy, real estate, urban planning). Research and teaching interest in the field of applied/urban economics and real estate are encouraged.
