Position title: Assistant Professor of Economics and Business Management
Salary range: The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment; see Table 3 The salary range for this position is $107,100-133,800. Off-scale salaries and other components of pay (i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step) are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.

Position Description
The University of California, Merced, Department of Economics and Business Management invites applications for three full-time tenure-track faculty appointments at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2026.
Preferred candidates will have expertise in applied work in any subfield. A Ph.D. degree in Economics is expected at the time of appointment.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the US. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
