The Economics Department at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics position at its campuses located in Collegeville, MN and Saint Joseph, MN. This position is based out of Saint John's University but will require that the candidate work on both campuses.

Salary ranges from $72,530 to $100,387/year, commensurate with experience, and standard company benefits including medical and life insurance, 401(k), disability, professional development opportunities, and PTO.

Duties:

  • Teach courses in Principles of Economics, Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory, advanced courses related to macroeconomics and/or finance, and the department's capstone course.
  • Periodically teach in the college's general education curriculum.
  • Advise students regarding academic and life goals. Participate in faculty governance at the department and campus levels.
  • Conduct research in economics and publish findings in professional journals, books, or electronic media.
  • Keep abreast of developments in macroeconomics and participate in professional conferences.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Economics or a similar field.
  • Must have two years of experience teaching economics, including courses in macroeconomics.
