Assistant Professor of Instruction in Nursing, Non-Tenure Track
Ohio University Southern invites applicants for an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Nursing, a non-tenure track faculty position pre-licensure nursing instruction with a clinical emphasis at the associate and bachelor's degree levels. This is a full-time, 11-month renewable position. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating instruction primarily in the clinical and laboratory settings using various methods and modes of delivery. Didactic instruction will be assigned based on expertise and credentials.
Additional expectations include (but are not limited to):
1) Meeting with course faculty to develop course expectations.
2) Identifying students' needs based on objectives of the relevant course.
3) Providing instruction to students, at the clinical sites, and/or in laboratory/simulation settings.
4) Assisting students in using problem-solving techniques.
Participation in scholarship is not required. All School of Nursing faculty members are expected to collaboratively and actively engage in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of student instruction and to participate in School of Nursing governance to ensure program standards and outcomes are fully met.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of professional nursing is required by the start date of appointment.
- An active and unencumbered Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) or multi-state RN license, or eligibility for obtaining and maintaining an Ohio or multi-state RN license is required. Must have Ohio or multi-state RN license prior to start date.
- A minimum of two years (24 months full-time equivalent) of work experience as an RN in the United States is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least five years' experience in the nursing profession with at least two years in a medical—surgical practice setting. Experience as a clinical faculty member in an associate degree or BSN program is preferred.
- A master of science in nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred.
