Job Description Summary / TWC Summary
The School of Business at Texas Southern University is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems, who is competent in instructing students, with an active, continuing research agenda. The ideal candidate will possess a doctoral degree with an emphasis in Management Information Systems, or a closely related discipline, from a regionally accredited university. A focus on Cybersecurity is a requirement of the position. This is a 9-month tenure track position with teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Essential Duties Summary
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Management Information Systems and Cybersecurity.
- Conduct research that is presentable at professional academic conferences and acceptable for publication in referred academic journals.
- Active participation in departmental, school and university committees.
- Service to one’s profession and the surrounding community.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
% FTE 1.0
Hiring Range $87,876.63-$116,840.00
Education
Required: Doctoral degree in Management Information Systems with a focus on Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline, from a regionally accredited university at time of hire.
Required Licensing/Certification None Required.
