Job Summary
We seek an individual who is (1) passionate about teaching both lower-division and upper-division undergraduate Manufacturing Technology courses, (2) committed to scholarship that involves undergraduates, and (3) invested in student success. If you desire to make a difference in the lives of undergraduate students, the Department of Statistics & Applied Technology in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University invites you to apply for a tenure-track faculty position to begin August 20, 2025. Scope
The Department of Statistics & Applied Technology in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in Manufacturing Technology. Candidates with expertise in Manufacturing Technologies, Industrial/Materials Engineering, Engineering Technologies, or a closely related field will be considered.
Principal Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate courses including core courses (for example, Materials Science, Introduction to CAD, Fluid and Mechanical Systems) and courses in product design and analysis, simulation, automation, and management. Ohio Northern University faculty teach 23-25 credit hours per academic year. The successful candidate will advise students and student organizations, engage in industry relationships, and participate in department, college and university service. Required Skills
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, as well as the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates should possess industry experience, strong lab skills, an ability to develop innovative experiences that reinforce theory while promoting inquiry and experimentation, and scholarly potential in the manufacturing industry or a related domain. Candidates with experience teaching at the undergraduate level are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Manufacturing Technologies, Industrial Technologies, Engineering Technologies or a closely related discipline is required. ABD applicants will be considered if all degree requirements are completed before September 1, 2025.
