Position Details
Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
Director of the Bearkat Marching Band and basketball bands; conduct the University Symphonic Band; teach courses in music education and others as needed by the School of Music, including Professional Development offerings and online Graduate programs, assist the Director of Bands with the overall administration of the university band program; recruit students for university bands; work effectively with faculty and students to build and maintain a productive relationship with public school music programs.
Educational Requirements for the Position
Doctorate degree required, masters degree with significant professional experience may be considered.
Experience Required for the Position
Demonstrated success in directing university marching bands and/or public-school teaching.
