Assistant Professor of Physics

The University of Evansville invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Physics. Expected teaching duties include delivering high-quality instruction in both introductory and advanced undergraduate physics courses, establishing and maintaining an active research program that engages undergraduate students, and participating in departmental, college, and university service activities, including committee work and student advising.

We are also seeking faculty who can contribute to innovative course and program development within our evolving Physics curriculum. The program is shifting its orientation from graduate school preparation to a more applied focus. Areas under consideration include computational physics, physics in data science, and environmental and energy-related studies. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with undergraduates and colleagues committed to making a positive impact on our world.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and will maintain an active research program driven by undergraduate students. A completed Ph.D. in Physics by May 2026 is required; prior teaching experience is a plus.
