Assistant Professor of Practice - Occupational Therapy (Pediatrics)

The Ohio State University’s School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences invites applications for an associated faculty member within our Occupational Therapy (OT) division at the Assistant Professor of practice rank. This position consists of an initial 3-year appointment that is renewable based upon annual reviews. We are seeking faculty who will teach within the OT Doctoral program in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences; mentor students; participate in accreditation activities and teach a variety of courses in support of the OT Doctoral program. Successful candidates must have appropriate educational preparation to teach within our OT Doctoral program. Our associated faculty have a majority of their time committed to teaching, but also contribute to the service needs of the School, College, University and professional community.

Ohio State OT is highly ranked, boasts 100% NBCOT pass rate success over the last three years, offers a multitude of simulation, didactic and clinical experiences to our students, and offers multiple opportunities for student specialization in research and practice through our cutting-edge doctoral capstone.

Education and Experience Requirements

Required: degree in occupational therapy; licensure or eligibility for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Ohio; evidence of strong teaching ability; ability to mentor graduate & professional students. Earned terminal doctoral degree (e.g. EdD, PhD, ScD, DHSc, post-professional clinical doctoral degree or equivalent).

Desired: professional expertise in pediatric and/or school-based occupational therapy
