Assistant Professor of Psychology
Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Psychology, Florida Institute of Technology
Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Psychology to join our undergraduate program faculty beginning in August 2026. Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D. (or ABD) in Psychology or a related discipline, experience teaching undergraduate courses, and an established track record of independent research. Preference will be given to candidates with research and teaching interests in areas of neuropsychology and/or cognitive psychology. However, qualified candidates from any area of psychology are encouraged to apply. Candidates should demonstrate the potential to teach a range of undergraduate psychology courses.
We are seeking candidates with a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service who embody our emphasis on student success. Position expectations include teaching undergraduate courses in psychology programs and conducting high-quality, programmatic research that has the potential for external funding. Our current undergraduate program faculty have a strong, established culture of engaging and mentoring undergraduates in research, innovative pedagogy, collaboration, and collegiality. The School of Psychology
The School of Psychology offers both undergraduate degrees and graduate degrees in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) and Industrial / Organizational Psychology. The psychology undergraduate programs include unique and specialized degree options for students with significant enrollment growth in recent years. These programs include a major in Psychology with four concentration options (Animal Learning and Behavior, Applied Social Psychology, Clinical/Counseling Psychology, Cognitive and Neuropsychology) as well as distinctive, specialized degree programs in Forensic Psychology and Animal Behavior and Cognition, along with a Child Advocacy Studies (CAST) minor.
