Description
The Public Administration Department at Flagler College invites applications from qualified candidates for an assistant professor position in Public Administration for the fall semester of 2026. The position's responsibilities include teaching core upper-level undergraduate courses in Public Administration, graduate-level courses in Public Administration, and classes in the Leadership Development Certificate Program. The ideal candidate should also be able to teach Research Methods, Program/Policy Evaluation, and other areas of expertise in public administration.
Flagler College is a private, independent college with an enrollment of 2,500 students. Flagler College is located in historic St. Augustine, Florida, 35 miles south of Jacksonville and 55 miles north of Daytona Beach.

Qualifications
Applicants should have a terminal degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field, or have made significant progress toward their doctorate or Ph.D. They must also have at least 5 years of experience working at the executive management level in a public organization and demonstrate a strong commitment to effective teaching. The Department is particularly interested in applicants with experience teaching online and hybrid courses.
