We take a rigorous, interdisciplinary approach to undergraduate liberal arts education. In keeping with our mission statement, the department aims to develop "undergraduates as social researchers and informed citizens, both locally and globally. The department emphasizes social inequality, social institutions, and social change to develop a better understanding of social justice." Our faculty are also committed scholars with expertise and strong publication records in law, criminology, health and disease control in Asia, and global social change.

SALARY:

Salary is competitive.

Candidates who advance in the review process will be asked to provide evidence of teaching approach and effectiveness (e.g., syllabi, sample assignments, student and/or peer evaluations) and letters of recommendation. In the application materials, candidates are encouraged to highlight skills and experiences that demonstrate a commitment to promoting inclusive academic environments and engaging across differences.
