Job Description:
The department of Health Professions invites applicants for full-time Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program.
The faculty member of the Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program supports the program and curriculum for the BSN major. The faculty member is responsible for the implementation of the nursing curriculum, ongoing program evaluation and improvement including evaluation of end-of-program Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) and Program Outcomes; supports the philosophy of nursing program and supports the mission of the College.
Specific responsibilities:
Teaching:
- Developing syllabi and teaching strategies for the assigned course(s).
- Participating in classroom and clinical teaching and evaluation of student achievement of nursing competencies.
- Serve as a professional role model for students.
- Participating in ongoing curricular development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Participating in the development, implementation, and evaluation of program policies. Share in the budget planning process, assist in the determination of staffing/teaching needs.
- Regularly attends BSN Program meetings, Health Professions department and College faculty meetings.
- Participates in standing and ad hoc committees with the Program and College.
Additional responsibilities:
- Advising and mentoring students.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clinical sites.
- Participating in the shared governance process and in departmental and college service.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a master's degree with a nursing major required for non-tenure track;
- Doctorate in Nursing or related field required for tenure track.
- Hold a current, unencumbered Massachusetts Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- A minimum of 2 years clinical experience or its equivalent in the last 5 years.
- Knowledge and experience in baccalaureate education preferred.
- Must have demonstrated teaching ability at the undergraduate level.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, permanent, non-tenure and/or tenure track position within the MSCA union. Salary for this position is $80,000-$96,000, salary pending qualifications. Position starts on 09/01/2026.
