Job Summary:

Mercy University invites nominations and applications for 12-month faculty positions in the nursing program. This is an opportunity to join an engaged team of professional and dedicated colleagues in a CCNE-accredited program that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees. We welcome dynamic educators to our team who want to make a difference in students’ lives and in their profession. For the undergraduate program the positions include teaching a variety of nursing courses, with particular needs in medical-surgical and pathopharmacology. Undergraduate programs are on the Dobbs Ferry and Bronx campuses. Responsibilities include teaching with an emphasis on high impact teaching practices and active learning.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

This position requires the ability to teach in a variety of courses. Responsibilities include teaching with an emphasis on high impact teaching practices, inclusive pedagogy, and active learning.

Required Skills & Experience:

• At least 3 years’ experience in an academic setting preferred
• Unencumbered NYS License
• Experience teaching in an online format
• Experience working with diverse student populations

Education Requirements:

• Education MS in Nursing (required). DNP, PhD, or EdD preferred

Physical/Other Requirements:

• Must be able to perform tasks that may involve pushing, pulling, moving, or lifting up to 50 lbs., with reasonable accommodations as needed
