Assistant Professor - Special Education
Job Summary
Teach online and face-to-face undergraduate and graduate courses in Special Education pedagogy, assessment, curriculum, PBIS, and supervise teacher candidates in field experiences.
The faculty employee is expected to contribute to the department's educational mission. This position requires on-campus teaching, meetings and committee work.
Responsibilities
Faculty - Teaching/Instructing
- Teach online graduate and face-to-face undergraduate courses in Special Education pedagogy, assessment, curriculum, child development.
- Support teacher candidates in their development into effective Special Education educator.
- Supervise teacher candidates in field placements.
- Courses are taught both on campus and in an on-line environment and faculty are expected to regularly come to campus.
- Full-time instructional load teaching in areas of expertise within the academic discipline (4/4 course load).
Required Qualifications
A Ph.D or Ed.D (terminal degree) in Special Education or a closely related field with 18 hours in Special Education at the time of the appointment is expected.
Evidence of three years of successful PreK-12 teaching.
Proposed Salary
Maximum salary $61,192.00.
