"Assistant Professor - Strategic Management"

The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto invites applications for up to two full-time tenure stream appointments in the Strategic Management Area. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.

Candidates must have earned a PhD degree in management or a cognate discipline with a focus on strategic management (e.g., economics, sociology) by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests complement and enhance our existing strengths. For more information, visit existing strengths.

Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence in strategic management, as shown by the job-market paper, additional research papers or publications, a research statement, and strong letters of reference. The successful candidate is expected to pursue innovative research, establish an outstanding program, and publish in top-tier journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, and others of similar standing.

Applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching, including the ability to integrate theory and practice, effective communication, graduate supervision, and mastery of the subject area. Evidence includes teaching accomplishments, letters of reference, and a teaching dossier.
