Assistant Professor Tenure Track Nursing
Job Summary
This is a 9-month Tenure-Track position with responsibilities in teaching, research/scholarship, and service with focus on developing future academic leadership capacity.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction, develop and assess curricula, supervise students in clinical settings; advise and mentor students; maintain an active program of scholarship; pursue external funding opportunities as appropriate; publish and present scholarly work through peer-reviewed publications and professional; and participate in college, university, and professional service activities. This position is designed to support the development of future academic leaders and is subject to the institution’s promotions and tenure policies.
Required Qualifications
- Required: An earned doctorate degree in Nursing.
- Required: Health professions-relevant focus of scholarship.
- Required: Documented record of scholarly activities including research, publication, funded grants, and scholarly presentations.
- Required: Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong organizational skills.
- Preferred: University teaching experience.
NOTE: Employment is contingent upon satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will have to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security card.
