Assistant Professor Tenure-Track (Sociology)
Entry-level Assistant Professor position whose responsibilities include teaching courses in the undergraduate and graduate sociology curriculum (which may include face-to-face, online, evening and or weekend classes); advising students; maintaining active service and research agendas; seeking/securing external funding to support research endeavors; serving in advisory positions for student organizations; and participating in committee work in the governance of the college and the sociology program.
Ability to maintain the security or integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system.
Essential Duties Summary
- Teach across the curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Maintain an active research agenda, including seeking and securing external funding
- Advise students
- Serve on departmental, college and university committees
- Serve as faculty advisor for various student organizations
- Participate in professional activities including internal and external conferences and seminars
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
