Assistant Professor WOT, Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition (UW Medicine Diabetes Institute)

The University of Washington (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition (MET), is accepting applications for a full-time faculty member based out of the University of Washington Medicine Diabetes Institute (UWMDI). This position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor without tenure (WOT). Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.

This position would have research responsibilities in the areas of diabetes and metabolism, which will complement ongoing research in diabetes at UWMDI. The new hire will also contribute to teaching through resident and fellow education and post-doctoral training. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.

The base salary range for this position will be: $9,170 - $12,500 per month ($110,040 - $150,000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. The anticipated start date would be January 1, 2026.

Requirements include a Ph.D. degree or foreign equivalent in a relevant field. Eligible candidates must have a demonstrated track record of funding and evidence of scholarly productivity and publications.
