The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.
Employment in project: NCN SONATA o nr. UMO-2024/55/D/ST2/01205 – project manager dr David Osten.
Requirements
- PhD degree in theoretical or mathematical physics, or mathematics, by the start date of the position, but not earlier than 2020.
- Fluent English in writing and speaking.
- Ability to independent research.
- Proven ability to publish in leading journals of field (JHEP, Physical Review, Nuclear Physics B, SciPost,…).
- Experience on one or more of the following topics is desirable: integrable models, generalised geometry and double/exceptional field theory, supergravity, conformal field theory, non-Lorentzian (non-relativistic or Carollian) limits in gravity theories, topological field theory, graded geometry, higher algebra.
Responsibilities
In the research area: publishing results in internationally recognised scientific journals, participating in seminars, active participation in international conferences.

- A photocopy of the diploma certifying the Ph.D. academic degree.
- Declaration whether, in the event of winning the application, the University of Wrocław will be the primary place of work (download Workplace Statement).
- Declaration as to the discipline in which the candidate will conduct research, and in the case of people conducting research in more than one discipline: the percentage share of their involvement in each of these disciplines (download Declaration of scientific discipline).
- Self-presentation clearly indicating the way the candidate meets the criteria, referring separately to the criterion of scientific activity, the criterion of internationalization, the criterion of organizational activity and the criterion of didactic activity.
- List of the candidate's publications for a period not exceeding 10 years.
- Two letters of recommendation evaluating the candidate's scientific and teaching achievements, prepared by individuals holding a postdoctoral degree or recognized as experts in the candidate's field of research.
- Application for employment to the Rector of the University of Wrocław.
- Declaration – article 113 the Law on Higher Education and Science (download Declaration – Article 113).
