Specific Requirements
When applying for the competition, applicants must submit:
a CV, a copy of their identification document, proof of professional qualifications, proof of the academic degree of a doctor of science, a description of their scientific, teaching or professional activities and a list of published works relevant to the selection, a copy of the Decision of the Main Committee on the selection to the appropriate scientific title (if the selection procedure was carried out), a motivation letter in which the candidate proposes his/her possible contribution to the development of the institution, a proof of work experience (not older than one month).

Candidates whose native language is not Croatian must also submit proof of knowledge of the Croatian language, level (B2) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Candidates who have acquired education outside the Republic of Croatia must submit a reasoned opinion from the competent agency on a foreign educational qualification or proof of initiating the procedure for acquiring the same. With candidates who submit a timely and proper application and meet the formal requirements of the competition, the Faculty of Biotechnology and Drug Development, University of Rijeka may conduct a test and/or interview to verify the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the tasks and duties of the position for which they are applying. Applications for the competition may be submitted by persons of both sexes. A candidate who does not respond to the test/interview will be considered to have withdrawn his/her application for the competition and will no longer be considered a candidate. The Faculty reserves the right to decide not to select a candidate or to cancel the competition without any specific explanation. Candidates who, based on special regulations – the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23), Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette 84/21), Article 48f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (Official Gazette 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 02/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19), Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette 157/13, 152/14., 39/18. and 32/20.), invoke the right to priority in employment, are obliged to invoke this right in their application for the competition and to attach all evidence required by special regulations for the exercise of this right. The aforementioned candidates shall exercise priority in employment in relation to other candidates, only under equal conditions.

The deadline for submitting applications is 30 days from the date of publication of the competition. Applications must be submitted by e-mail to ured@biotech.uniri.hr in PDF format. Incomplete and untimely applications will not be considered.
Applicants will be notified of the results of the competition within 10 days of the end of the selection process on the Faculty of Biotechnology and Drug Development website.
