Salary Range: Up to $69,500 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary
The Assistant Registrar provides administrative and supervisory skills in the management of a specific service area within the Registrar's Office. This position serves as a resource to the campus, supports the University's mission, and aligns with a student-centered philosophy. The Assistant Registrar is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of an assigned area within the Registrar's Office.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervises staff that performs the assigned function and is responsible for assigning staff to projects, participating in recruitment and hiring processes, supporting staff development, and completing performance management and evaluations.
- Maintains data integrity for the functional area and prepares reports and information as needed.
- Assists administrators, students, faculty, and staff with special requests and problems of a complex nature. Offers solutions to management regarding student issues with appropriate staff in various offices.
- Works with the Associate Registrar to develop and implement new policies/procedures for the assigned area. Coordinates with information technology staff on updates needed to technical systems that support registrar functions.
- Participates in the testing of student record system improvements and upgrades in support of work done in the assigned area.
- Trains faculty and staff from offices throughout the campus on the correct policies, processes, and systems used in the assigned area. Prepares training materials and documentation.
- Provides strategic oversight of the Class Scheduling and Degree Works teams, ensuring effective operations and alignment with institutional priorities related to course scheduling and degree audit processes.
- Leads the administration of Degree Works, including program and course prerequisite requirements, to ensure compliance with university, state, and federal policies. Collaborates with academic departments and campus partners to ensure Degree Works configurations support graduation clearance and Course Program of Study (CPOS) financial aid evaluation processes.
- Analyzes historical data and utilizes predictive analytics to forecast course demand for future semesters. Provides data and insights to academic leadership to inform decisions related to scheduling and course demand.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Three (3) years of related work experience.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- At least four (4) years of experience within a Registrar's Office, Admissions, or similar higher education unit.
- Experience managing or supervising a unit within a Registrar's Office, Admissions, or similar higher education unit.
- Knowledge and experience related to classroom scheduling and degree auditing procedures.
- Experience using Banner student information system.
- Experience using Degree Works degree auditing system.
- Experience using CourseLeaf (CLSS), CollegeNet 25Live, and/or similar systems used for class scheduling and room assignments.
- Experience using predictive analytics, especially related to forecasting course demand.

Physical Demands

This position will require working both remotely in Texas and on campus. Subject to change depending on department need. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
