Job Duties: The Department of Business Administration in the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for an Assistant Teaching Professor position in Entrepreneurship. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching a range of entrepreneurship and general business courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute to the overall student experience through engagement with the new Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The Cofrin School of Business values university-level teaching experience, the ability to teach a variety of general business and discipline-specific courses, a commitment to continual learning and knowledge sharing, and engagement in institutional, community, and professional service. We are seeking applicants with exceptional pedagogical skills and a strong commitment to teaching excellence. Applicants must have significant professional experience in entrepreneurship. The successful applicant will contribute to a young, growing, forward-looking college and department embedded within Wisconsin’s third largest metropolitan area. This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green Bay’s mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with faculty colleagues and community partners to increase learner professional development, career advancement, and engagement in experiential learning opportunities inside and outside the classroom (e.g., student organizations, pitch competitions, etc.).
  • Advise and mentor students.
  • Perform intellectual activities, service, and professional engagement consistent with the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business expectations for an Assistant Teaching Professor.
  • Contribute to the ongoing programmatic development of the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business and participate fully in AACSB accreditation efforts.
  • Teach a variety of courses in Entrepreneurship and General Business, including courses such as Introduction to Business, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Finance, Advanced Entrepreneurial Marketing among others.

Department: Austin E. Cofrin School of Business

Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business or related discipline, at time of application.
  • Evidence of a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
  • 3 years of relevant professional experience in business creation or intrapreneurship.

Conditions of Appointment: The home campus of this position is Green Bay. Position is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track, Instructional Academic Staff appointment. Finalist(s) will need to consent to a verification of academic credentials through a third-party education check provider authorized by the University. A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s).
