REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position is directly accountable and responsible to the Assistant Dean of Current and Emerging Technologies.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position is responsible for providing leadership to the programs within the Agriculture, Technology, & Natural Resources (ATNR) pathways following the mission of Bismarck State College.
Benefits
COMPENSATION: This is a nine-month, full-time, non-tenure track position. Salary is based on experience and education. Bachelor's degree $46,100 - $57,624; Master's degree $47,100 - $58,874. Position Description & Details
Bismarck State College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Teaching Professor of ATNR to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity for a passionate educator to engage with students while also collaborating with industry partners to ensure that our curriculum stays aligned with workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student mentoring and student retention
- Record keeping
- Campus committee engagement
- Submitting assignments/grades by established deadlines
- Engaging with industry partners
- Developing and maintaining a curriculum
- Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean and the Academic Division Dean
Minimum Requirements
- Appropriate agriculture-related master's degree OR an appropriate agriculture-related bachelor's degree with an agreement to complete a master's degree in six years
Preferred Qualifications
- College teaching experience
- Expertise in plants, soils, or animal science
