Assistant Teaching Professor

The Faculty of Nursing & Health Sciences at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) invites applications from qualified individuals for a one (1) year term position as an Assistant Teaching Professor with the possibility of renewal. The position will commence on August 17, 2026. Expertise in the use of advanced technologies in both classroom and clinical teaching is an asset. Applicants should demonstrate a strong background in clinical practice in acute and complex care across the lifespan. The position is situated at the Saint John campus and involves a combination in-person classroom, clinical and laboratory teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate program.

Role Qualifications & Expectations: The successful candidate must hold an earned Master’s in Nursing. The successful candidate will be involved with in-person teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate programs; travel may be required to support teaching and learning at other sites. Experience using various advanced technologies to support teaching and learning is an asset. A demonstrated ability to teach effectively in-person is expected as well as experience with simulation. Given that all programming is delivered in English, strong proficiency in the English language (spoken and written) is required. Service work within the university and the community is expected and the successful applicant will actively participate in faculty governance and decision-making within the Faculty of Nursing & Health Sciences.

The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain registration with the College of Nurses of New Brunswick and be registered prior to beginning this appointment. International applications should include evidence of the College of Nurses of New Brunswick registration process.

This position will begin August 17, 2026, depending on the availability of a successful applicant, and subject to final budgetary approval.
