Assistant, Warehouse
Job Summary
Reporting to the Supervisor, Warehouse, the Assistant, Warehouse is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, and equipment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements
• Reads orders or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to other designated areas
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
• Check gasoline tank and compare with issues
• Prepares monthly warehouse issues report and monthly gasoline report
• Generates and fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items and documents comprehensive job details including labor hours, and materials used
• Investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies or issues with damaged stock
• Assembles customer orders from stock
• Marks materials with identifying information
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed
• Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse or to pick up items from several locations for shipment or distribution
• Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments
Service Excellence
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Warehouse
Performs Other Related Tasks as Required

Required Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Preferred Qualifications
• One (1) year’s working experience related to the essential performance requirements
• One (1) year’s working experience with handheld RF scanners
• One (1) year’s working experience operating a forklift and pallet jack
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
• Skilled using computerized applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
• Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representatives of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
