General Summary

Manage and expend operating and scholarship budget. Recruit competitive student-athletes on local, regional, state and national levels.

Specific Position Duties

• Assist the Head Womens Basketball Coach in the daily management and overall operation of the womens basketball program, including but not limited to:
  • Recruiting prospective student-athletes.
  • Recruiting and supporting international student-athletes.
  • Coordinating team travel arrangements.
  • Assisting with practice planning, preparation, and competition supervision.
  • Monitoring student-athletes in the dormitory and cafeteria as needed.
• Serve as an academic mentor for student-athletes by:
  • Monitoring academic progress and maintaining regular communication with instructors as needed.
  • Assisting with academic advisement and course registration.
  • Supervising study sessions to promote academic success.
  • Coordinating tutoring services and academic support resources.
• Serve as an instructor for Physical Education and Super Circuit activity classes as assigned.
• Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification, or obtain certification within a designated timeframe.
• Assist with fundraising activities, community outreach, and promotional events for the womens basketball program and athletic department.
• Support compliance with institutional, conference, and NJCAA policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Womens Basketball Coach and/or Athletic Director.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Physical Education or a related field required.
• Experience in basketball through collegiate participation, coaching, or a combination of both preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basketball fundamentals, player development, and team strategy.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills with the ability to work effectively with student-athletes from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to support the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes while promoting a positive team culture.
