Position Details
- Appointment Type: Professional-track (non-tenure), full-time
- Rank: Assistant or Associate Professor (depending on qualifications)
- Location: Austin, TX
- Co-funding: 50% Dell Children’s Medical Center, 50% UT Austin College of Pharmacy
- Practice Focus: Pediatric acute care; potential areas include inpatient internal medicine, inpatient cardiology, and outpatient specialty care (e.g., anticoagulation)
- Start Date: By August 1, 2026
- Priority Application Date: March 8, 2026
Responsibilities
- Facilitate practice laboratories and classroom instruction for Pharm.D. students
- Mentor and supervise clinical clerkships
- Participate in clinical service supporting resident and student education at DCMC
- Contribute to the operational success of the Pharmacy Department
- Develop interprofessional collaborations to advance pharmacy practice, research, and scholarship
- Supervise pharmacy students and residents in care for hospitalized pediatric patients
Qualifications
Required:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an ACPE-accredited school
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas
- Demonstrated effective teaching
Preferred:
- Completed Pediatric PGY-1 and PGY-2 specialty practice residency or equivalent experience by start date
