Associate/Assistant Professor in Public Administration and Public Policy
The Department of Government and Public Administration of the Faculty of Social Sciences is inviting applications for an academic position at the rank of Associate/Assistant Professor in the discipline of public administration and public policy. The Department is comprised of over 20 full-time academic staff members and offers programmes leading to Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD degrees, with a focus on public administration and policy, international relations, comparative politics, political economy, and studies of the Greater China region. Qualifications: The required area of specialization is public administration, including sub-areas such as China Public Administration, New/Collaborative Governance, Smart City Management, E-Government, Government/Society Interactions, Big Data and New Technological Innovation, Governance in Greater China Region, and other subjects related to policy-making and governance. Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant field, a proven record of publication in high-caliber international journals, excellence in research and scholarship, and a strong commitment to teaching courses in new governance, public policy analysis, new technologies and innovations in governance, and research methods in governance at graduate and undergraduate levels in English, and preferably in Chinese.
The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2026.
Remuneration: A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600), commensurate with qualifications and experience.
