The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) has an
exciting opportunity available for an
Associate Developer for IT
Enterprise Applications. The selected candidate will be part of
a team responsible for developing, implementing, supporting, and
maintaining integrations, reports, data workflows, electronic
forms, and other technical solutions for Docusign, Perceptive
Content (formerly ImageNow), and Kuali Research enterprise
applications. Working under direction, the Associate Developer will
learn the applications' architectures, APIs, data structures,
business processes, and development standards while collaborating
with campus partners and technical teams. Responsibilities include
translating business requirements into technical specifications,
developing and testing solutions, monitoring production processes,
troubleshooting operational and technical issues, maintaining
technical documentation, and escalating complex matters to
appropriate functional or technical resources.

Work Location
This position is eligible for a primarily remote hybrid work
arrangement. While most work may be performed remotely, employees
are expected to attend on-campus meetings, training sessions, team
activities, and other business-related events as needed. Employees
must be able to work in Maryland or one of the following contiguous
jurisdictions: the District of Columbia, Delaware, Pennsylvania,
Virginia, or West Virginia. Candidates who do not currently reside
in one of these locations must be willing to relocate prior to
employment. This work location requirement applies to all work
arrangements, including remote and hybrid positions.
Primary Duties
With guidance, designs, develops, modifies, tests, implements, and
supports enterprise application integrations, reports, data
workflows, electronic forms, and related software solutions.
Applies current software development methodologies and best
practices while developing an understanding of enterprise
application architectures, campus business processes, and secure
data exchange patterns.
This work may include developing technical specifications, data
mappings, SQL queries, application reports, API- or file-based
integrations, and operational support procedures. Typical duties
also include collaborating with campus customers and technical
teams, monitoring critical business activities and production
processes, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and escalating
complex matters to the appropriate project resources.
Essential Functions
- With guidance, design, develop, configure, test, implement, and
maintain integrations, reports, data workflows, electronic forms,
and related technical solutions for Docusign, Perceptive Content,
and/or Kuali Research.
Assist with gathering and analyzing business requirements and
translating them into technical specifications, solution designs,
reports, integrations, and application enhancements.
Assist with developing, testing, deploying, and supporting
application solutions using approved development, integration, and
reporting technologies.
Assist with monitoring production systems, troubleshooting
issues, and supporting the resolution or escalation of application,
integration, and reporting problems.
With guidance, create and maintain technical and operational
documentation and follow established development, version control,
testing, and deployment practices.
Assist with communicating and collaborating with campus
customers, vendors, and technical teams to support projects,
services, and operational needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology,
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a
related field.
Experience: Prior knowledge of enterprise application
functionality preferred. This may include working as user of an
ERP/enterprise-wide application system..
Other: Except for qualifications established by law,
additional related experience and formal education in which one has
gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full
performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the
education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with
30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of
related experience. In instances where specific education and/or
experience is required only directly related education and/or
experience may be substituted.

Knowledge of position requirements. Knowledge of all applicable
requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of
applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate
both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work

- Knowledge of software development principles, methodologies,
and best practices preferred.
- Knowledge of programming, databases, and integration
technologies, including SQL, XML, JSON, and RESTful web services
preferred.
- Knowledge of enterprise application platforms and development
tools, including Docusign, Perceptive Content, Jira, and Microsoft
Excel preferred
Hiring Range: $76,500 - $80,000; commensurate with education
and experience.
