Associate Director, Advancement

About This Opportunity

The Associate Director, Advancement is a senior leadership role within the Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB), responsible for shaping and delivering a strategic fundraising and external engagement agenda that accelerates IMB’s world-leading research impact. Working in close partnership with UQ’s Advancement and Community Engagement team, this role leads philanthropic strategy, manages high-value donor relationships, and mentors a high-performing advancement team.

About You

You are a strategic and relationship-driven philanthropy leader with a strong track record of securing major and principal gifts in complex, mission-led environments. With deep knowledge of the Australian fundraising landscape, ideally within research or higher education, you are confident engaging senior executives, philanthropic supporters and diverse external partners.
