The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, is seeking an Associate Director of Financial Aid. This role manages the compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements as well as managing the policy decision-making process as it relates to financial aid at the college.
Job Responsibilities
The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, is seeking an Associate Director of Financial Aid. This role manages the compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements as well as managing the policy decision-making process as it relates to financial aid at the college. This position will function in an autonomous decision-making capacity and will also be responsible for the following:
- Directs the administrative activities of the electronic data exchange, direct loan, pell payment and recipient data exchange programs.
- Manages department's new year set up to annual close out.
- Investigates and provides solutions for changes to federal/state regulations and college policies, as well as system training for all department staff.
- Coordinate with college deans, department heads, and scholarship committees; assure and supervise the timely and accurate award process for all institutional and foundation scholarship programs.
- Prepares, processes and maintains scholarships. Organizes tracking of upper-class scholarship applications and renewal awards.
- Performs need analysis, verification, packaging aid and other procedures necessary to deliver financial aid to students.
- Counsels students and parents regarding financial aid concerns and conducts outreach programs both on and off campus.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelors degree is required. Higher education financial aid experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
A masters degree preferred. Banner experience preferred.
