Job Description
The candidate will be responsible to lead a team for projects delivery and application support that are related to the Finance business domain. He/she will need to work closely with the user community, external vendors, and other stakeholders to achieve this. The Candidate’s responsibilities are as follows:
- Lead the IT team in supporting and managing IT solutions for the Office of Finance (OFN) business unit, such as SAP S/4HANA Finance system which covers FI, CO, TM, MM modules.
- Oversee and manage the team resources (inclusive of vendor and augment staff) so that the team can cope with the work demands while getting the right resource for the right tasks.
- While many initiatives are user driven, Candidate will need to understand the business domain, review user requirements, vendor proposals, assess / discuss technical solutions, and ensure that the selected solutions are endorsed for architecture, scalability, security requirements and compliances. During implementation, he/she will need to provide support on technical matters to ensure timely rollout of the project(s).
- Perform the role of Solution Architect for OFN systems, ensuring that any solutions implemented are secure, inter-operable and extensible.
While the individual will grow in-depth business knowledge in the above-mentioned business domain, he/she may be assigned to deliver IT projects of other business domain.
Duties and Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management
- Manage and work with stakeholders to plan and execute Finance projects.
- Ensure strategies are aligned with business objectives at the University level.
Solution Design (IT)
- Work with network, systems, security teams to develop and formalize the NUS IT architecture.
- Own and refine the architecture according to new developments and demands.
Programme / Project Management
- Account for the successful delivery of programme / projects.
- Manage delivery of programmes / projects to ensure that targets are met. This includes, amongst others, conducting user requirement analysis, participating in solution design, planning and executing testing, deploying solution to ‘live’.
- Create and/or review project artefacts and deliverables to ensure quality and NUS guidelines and polices are met.
- Manage procurement, including preparation and publishing tender specifications, evaluating and recommending potential solutions and/or vendors, contract management.
