Senior Manager (Controls Technology)
Job Description
Technology Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of emerging technologies in OT, IT, smart campus solutions, and sustainability.
- Develop and execute a technology roadmap for CTU to enhance operational efficiency, system integration, and data-driven decision-making.
- Assess feasibility and impact of technology solutions from a business and operational perspective.
- Collaborate with NUS leadership to ensure technology adoption aligns with broader university objectives.
Operational Technology (OT) & Digital Transformation
- Spearhead integration of Building Management Systems (BMS), Security, Smart FM, CMMS, and energy management systems.
- Ensure seamless connectivity between OT and IT platforms, optimizing system performance and data flow.
- Establish standards, policies, and best practices for system harmonization across campus infrastructure.
- Identify AI/ML-driven analytics opportunities for predictive maintenance, fault detection, and optimization.
Project Management & Implementation
- Lead end-to-end project execution, from solution design to deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business needs.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (FM, IT, sustainability teams) and external vendors to drive effective implementation.
- Conduct impact analysis and manage changes in business requirements during project lifecycles.
Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement
- Engage with internal leadership, faculties, FM teams, and research groups to align on campus-wide initiatives.
- Collaborate with external technology vendors, consultants, and government agencies for solution development and benchmarking.
- Drive cost-effective solutions and ensure vendor deliverables meet technical and operational expectations.
Sustainability & Smart Campus Development
- Support initiatives in carbon neutrality, energy efficiency, and resource optimization in line with NUS 2030 sustainability targets.
- Evaluate and implement green building technologies, digital twin platforms, and IoT-enabled solutions.
Qualifications
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Years of Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in digital transformation, OT integration, and technology harmonization, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Knowledge / Skills (preferred)
- Proven track record of strategic project planning and management, and successful execution of OT and IT integration projects in accordance to allocated project resources.
- Strong project management acumen with experience in financial management, budgeting, and cost optimization strategies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and drive innovation within a dynamic organization.
- Experience with Built Environment Systems such as but not limited to: Building Management Systems / Computerized Maintenance Management System / Integrated Operations Command Centre
- Singapore Certified Energy Manager(SCEM) and Green Mark Accredited Professional(GMAP) Certification will be a plus. Competent to show a comprehensive understanding of built environment operational technologies and M&E systems.
- Competent in MS Office applications
