Department Summary
The Associate Head Swimming and Diving Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach with the management and administration of all activities related to the Swimming and Diving program and contributing to a positive and beneficial intercollegiate experience for student-athletes. This position exercises supervision of coaching student-athletes, recruiting, and training. The Associate Head Athletics Coach is fully responsible for compliance with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations as well as Conference rules and University policies governing intercollegiate athletics.
Position Profile
Develops and maintains competitive intercollegiate sport programs. Directs all aspects of sport staff in recruiting, practice and game competitions. Responsible for the recruitment/hiring, goal setting, coaching and performance review of all sport staff. Instructs and teaches student-athletes in fundamentals of sport technique and strategy. Plans and executes practice and competition plans including the evaluation of opponents. Evaluates and recruits qualified student-athletes.

This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Division I Swimming and Diving coaching experience.
