Associate or Full Professor, and Stone Family Chair in Global Business, The Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration, Cornell SC Johnson College of Business

The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business invites applications from senior scholars for the Stone Family Chair in Global Business. The position will be affiliated with the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration, with placement in one of the following three areas within the SC Johnson College of Business: Management and Organizations; Operations, Technology, and Information Management; or Services Management. The position will be at the rank of Tenured Associate or Full Professor. Rank will be determined by academic achievement and experience, with an immediate tenure review to be completed upon offer acceptance. The intended start date of this position is July 1, 2026. The position will be based in Ithaca, NY.

The primary responsibilities of the position include maintaining a distinguished research record in the area(s) of expertise, teaching in The Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration, and service to the Area, School, and College. It is also expected that our faculty teach across multiple schools within the College of Business.

The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Business, Management, Operations, Services, or related field, with a record of significant scholarship in global business topics that are aligned with the hospitality industry's current and future challenges.

The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business (established on July 1, 2016) combines three Schools: the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson), the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Dyson), and the Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration (Nolan).

The Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration is the top-ranked hospitality management program worldwide, with undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. programs. The Nolan School of Hotel Administration (Nolan) has approximately 800 undergraduates and 60 graduate students. Founded in 1922, Nolan is an AACSB accredited business school, with a resident faculty of 65 and over 10,000 alumni worldwide. Important resources available to faculty include extraordinary access to industry leaders, excellent research funding, the Center for Hospitality Research (CHR), and the cultural and intellectual resources of the Cornell University community.

In compliance with New York's Pay Transparency Act, the minimum annual base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $475,000. This pay range represents base pay for 12 months. Cornell University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
