Associate Professor and Chair, Graduate Nursing Department
Carlow University is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track academic leadership role as the Chair of the Graduate Nursing Department. This position provides oversight for graduate nursing programs, including MSN, DNP, and post-master’s certificates.
Essential Functions
- Academic Leadership and Administration: Provide visionary leadership for programs, faculty, and students; lead curriculum development and ensure compliance with accreditation standards; facilitate faculty recruitment and evaluation; promote academic excellence.
- Program Development and Quality Improvement: Collaborate with partners for innovation; monitor program outcomes like certification rates; lead strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Teaching and Scholarship: Maintain teaching, scholarship, and service activities; mentor faculty and students in research; foster a scholarly environment.
- Community and Clinical Partnerships: Strengthen partnerships for clinical placements; represent the department to stakeholders.
Minimum Education & Related Experience Required
Doctorate in Nursing or related field and an MS in Nursing; 5 years of graduate-level nursing teaching; progressive academic leadership experience.
Required Licenses/Certifications
Eligible for RN licensure in PA; APRN certification preferred.
