Position Details

About the Position:

The College of Business, Government and Law is seeking a passionate and visionary academic striving to make an impactful scholarly contribution in our fastest growing program, Sports Management.

As an Associate Professor in Sports Management (Teaching Specialist) or Associate Professor in Sports Management (Teaching and Research), you will lead the design and delivery of innovative and engaging Sports Management curriculum.

The Associate Professor in Sports Management (Teaching and Research) will also make an independent high-quality contribution to research, through activities such as quality publications, external grant acquisition and by strengthening existing partnerships or exploring new partnerships with external stakeholders.

About You:

With a strong record of excellence in teaching and curriculum innovation, you are committed to delivering an outstanding student experience and preparing graduates for success in the international sports industry. You will bring proven experience in building strong connections with professional associations and international partners, alongside a commitment to mentoring colleagues and contributing to the growth of a dynamic academic community.

As an Associate Professor in Sports Management (Teaching and Research), you also demonstrate an established research profile, with a track record of high-quality publications, successful research funding, and effective supervision of honours and higher degree research students.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate:

  • Completion of a PhD, or equivalent qualification in Sports Management or related area.
  • Significant experience in reviews and internal and external accreditation activities.
